Updated Restrooms Create Better Experience for Staff and Customers at United Abrasives Headquarters

United Abrasives manufactures industrial abrasive products such as cutting and grinding wheels and metalworking products that are distributed all over North America. The company employs 100 people at its headquarters in North Windham, Connecticut, and delivers training sessions on site for customers. The restrooms in the office area hadn’t been updated since the company moved into the building in 1985 and were desperately in need of improvement.

“They are heavily used and were looking really run down so it was time to for a refresh,” explained Carolyn Houlihan, marketing manager for United Abrasives. “We wanted to improve the aesthetics and function of the spaces for our office staff who use the restrooms every day, as well as for the customers we host.”

The two bathrooms were updated with tiled walls and new vanities, mirrors and toilets. Hiny Hiders® partitions from Scranton Products® were selected for their clean, professional lines and ability to increase space and privacy. The Shale color also blends nicely with the building’s overall color scheme.

“The installation went smoothly and we loved that we could work with Scranton Products to customize to fit our space and needs,” said Houlihan.
