Through a variety of tests, Tufftec has proven to be more durable than the standard metal lockers that most facilities have grown accustomed to. During a 100-pound impact test, following American Society for Testing and Materials standards, Tufftec Lockers® ended up having a greater impact resistance, 59 times greater than the impact resistance of metal lockers. The solid HDPE material proved to be more durable than standard metal.
Not only do Tufftec Lockers provide a greater impact resistance than metal lockers, they also produce less noise. During a noise test, metal lockers ended up being three times louder than Tufftec Lockers. The Tufftec Lockers provide a softer sound during closure than the loud metal clang associated with traditional lockers. Tufftec Lockers have proven to be smoother, stronger, and quieter than standard metal lockers.
