New Jersey Architect Wins Scranton Products’ Big Easy Sweepstakes with a Grand Prize Trip to the Greenbuild Show in New Orleans

Scranton, PA – Scranton Products, a leading manufacturer of lockers and bathroom partitions, has awarded Tim “T.J.” Margolin,  AIA, LEED AP, of Design Resources Group  (DRG) Architects in Piscataway, NJ, with the “The Big Easy Sweepstakes” Grand Prize trip to the Greenbuild Show in New Orleans, LA. The show, which highlights sustainable building, is held from October 22–24, 2014.  A resident of Bound Brook, NJ, this is Margolin’s first Greenbuild Show and trip to New Orleans and he said he is excited to attend.  “This is a chance to investigate the latest green and sustainable products and technologies, so that we can share these innovations with our customers,” he said.

Margolin entered the sweepstakes by specifying Scranton Products’ latest locker product, Duralife Lockers for the PS 316 elementary school in Queens, NY.  “I was already familiar with Scranton Products’ HDPE bathroom partitions, but the Duralife Lockers are another way to provide schools with lower maintenance over metal and reduce the spread of bacteria,” he said.

Margolin’s firm specializes in innovative sustainable designs for educational and athletic facilities, so Duralife Lockers are a great fit.  DRG has several LEED professionals and recently achieved a LEED Silver for a school in Philipsburg, NJ.  In the school environment where transferrable illness is more of a concern than ever, HDPE is naturally resistant to bacteria, odors, mold and mildew and the non-porous surface is very easy to clean. Graffiti wipes off easily with most non-abrasive cleaners and stickers and contact paper are easily removed. The lockers can also be power washed and steam cleaned without the worry of rust.
