When Remo DiVentura purchased the property that would fulfill his dream, Filomena Cucina Italiana Restaurant and Bar in 2006, one of his first priorities was upgrading the restrooms. The space had formerly been operated as another restaurant, but the existing bathrooms were dated and worn—completely out of step with the high-end Italian dining experience DiVentura envisioned.

“The restrooms did not meet our high standards,” he recalls. “The stalls were old and beat up and our goal was to provide the ultimate in style and comfort for our customers.”

“In a nice, high-end restaurant, I believe the stalls should be tall and elegant,” he explains. “Most steakhouses, for example, have high privacy. That’s what I wanted—more privacy for the stalls and more of a modern Italian look.”

“Every once in a while, someone will ask me where we got the stalls,” he said. “They notice the difference in quality.”
